Over the years my interest has expanded from food allergy education and awareness to "why" all these food allergies. While there are a number of theories, I gravitate toward believing it is the change in our environment, health, beauty products, cleaning products and most importantly our food system. The increase in toxins we are subject to on a daily basis has increased. According to the Global Healing Center we take in far more toxins daily than our body can handle. I am taking baby steps to bring down the toxic exposure for our family and thought I would share some of my "favorite finds" as we navigate toward a "cleaner" lifestyle.

I have been following Robyn O'brien for years. She has become fondly known as the "Erin

Brockovich of the food industry. A former financial and food industry analyst Robyn

O’Brien triggered an allergic reaction in the food industry when she asked: “Are we allergic

to food or what’s been done to it?” This is a great TEDx video, worth the watch. You can also

learn more about Robyn's work at RobynObrien.com.

Below are a couple of my favorite food blogs. While they may not be specifically for allergies

I have been able to modify the recipes to make them safe and allergy friendly. For me these

pages have have provided an education around "cleaner" eating providing tips around foods

and recipes.

100 days of grain free Whether you’re brand new to cutting out processed food or

you’re a real food veteran, I hope you’ll find some value in the resources on this blog.

In the beginning of 2010 I had never before read an ingredient label, never bought

anything that was organic (at least not on purpose), nor had I ever stepped foot in a

farmers’ market. I am certainly not proud of those things, but that was reality for the

first 32 or so years of my life and the most disturbing part is that I had no idea I was

doing anything wrong.
